San Francisco Bay

Holy Heart Heroes, Bay Area!  

Over 400 people came together on September 17 for the first annual Superhero Heart Run at Quarry Lake Regional Rec. Area in Fremont! Over 400 people who donned superhero capes and ran, walked and  flew for Congenital Heart Defect Awareness.
Heart Heroes, Inc. and  Mended Little Hearts of the Bay Area are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make the first San Francisco Bay Area Superhero Heart Run such a tremendous success. Because of you, we brought in over $28,000!!! Funds raised at this event go to helping Mended Little Hearts of the Bay Area fund their Bravery Bag program and family support events in the northern California area, as well as help Heart Heroes fulfill their mission to provide support for heart families through the Heart Hero Cape program, family events and funding for CHD research.

Mended Little Hearts  has a mission to empower CHD families in local communities and nationally. In addition to local support meetings and family events, the East Bay and Silicon Valley MLH chapters provides Bravery Bags each month to Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, UCSF Beinoff Children’s Hospital, and Oakland Children’s Hospital to help families with comfort items & toiletries during a hospital stay.
